The Aston Martin DB12 is positioned as the world's first 'super tourer' — a grand-touring coupe with supercar performance. The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 produces 500kW and 800Nm, the most ever in a DB-line Aston, paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic and rear-wheel drive with an electronic limited-slip differential. 0-100km/h takes 3.6 seconds, top speed 325km/h. The cabin is a clean-sheet design with a new EVA platform-shared infotainment (the first Aston Martin-developed system, replacing the Mercedes-MBUX hand-me-down). Competes with the Bentley Continental GT, Ferrari Roma and Mercedes-AMG GT 63.

The DB12 Volante is the convertible version of Aston Martin's super tourer, $37,000 above the Coupe at $492,000 RRP. Same 4.0L twin-turbo V8 (500kW/800Nm), same 8-speed ZF auto, same RWD with eLSD, same chassis. The K-fold soft-top deploys in 14 seconds at speeds up to 50km/h. 0-100km/h is marginally slower than the Coupe at around 3.7 seconds due to ~50kg additional body strengthening for the convertible chassis. Top speed unchanged at 325km/h. Competes with the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 and Bentley Continental GTC.
