The 2026 Audi Q5 TFSI FWD is a 5-seat SUV with a petrol mild hybrid engine, front-wheel drive and a 7-speed S tronic gearbox. It's priced from $80,900 RRP, which is before on-road costs, so expect to pay more once those are added. Claimed fuel use is 5.7L/100km combined, the boot holds 520 litres with the seats up and 1,473 litres folded, and it can tow 2,000kg braked. The catch is it's front-wheel drive only, so it's not the pick if you're after all-wheel-drive grip for gravel or snow trips. It suits families and couples who want a roomy, easy-going petrol SUV that can still pull a decent trailer or small van.

It's rated to tow 2,000kg braked. The catch is that on-road costs come on top of that RRP, so it suits families who want a frugal diesel SUV that can pull a decent load and can stretch the budget a bit further.

Its standout strength is the combination of 400Nm torque for real-world performance and AWD security, backed by a five-star ANCAP rating and comprehensive five-year warranty that underpin ownership confidence. The main consideration is its 2030kg kerb weight, which means you'll want to factor realistic fuel consumption into longer-distance running costs before committing.
Configure the TDI quattro sport SUVThe 2026 Audi Q5 TFSI quattro sport 200 kW SUV is a five-seat petrol SUV with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed S tronic auto.
