The C4 Aircross was Citroen's small SUV for Australia, a Mitsubishi ASX in a Citroen suit, and the front-drive version was the cheaper and slightly thriftier of the two. It uses a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four making 110kW and 197Nm through a CVT, claims 7.9 L/100km combined and 185 g/km, and tows 1,300kg braked. Practicality is the point: 416 litres of boot under the parcel shelf, 1,193 with the rear seat folded, 168mm of ground clearance and aluminium roof rails. Exclusive was the only grade here and it came fully loaded, with keyless entry and start, a reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic air conditioning, electric folding heated mirrors, automatic headlights and wipers, five airbags plus a driver's knee airbag, and 18-inch Kanji alloys.
Configure the Exclusive 2.0 2WD CVTThe all-wheel-drive C4 Aircross adds a selectable three-mode wheel control - 2WD, 4WD and a locked setting - to Citroen's small SUV, at the cost of a little pace and economy. The 2.0-litre four still makes 110kW and 197Nm through a CVT, but 0-100km/h stretches to 10.9 seconds and the combined figure rises to 8.1 L/100km and 192 g/km, on a slightly smaller 60-litre tank. Towing is unchanged at 1,300kg braked, as is the 416-litre boot, the 168mm of ground clearance and the Exclusive grade's equipment: keyless entry and start, reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic air conditioning, electric folding heated mirrors, six airbags including a driver's knee bag and 18-inch Kanji alloys.
Configure the Exclusive 2.0 4WD CVTThe 4x2 version of Citroen Australia's MY2012 C4 Aircross, a front-drive small SUV built on the Mitsubishi ASX and sold here in a single well-equipped Exclusive grade. Ateco Automotive's July 2012 specification sheet lists a 2.0-litre 16-valve petrol four making 110kW at 6000rpm and 197Nm at 4200rpm through a CVT with a six-step sports mode, good for 190km/h and 0-100km/h in 10.2 seconds. It measures 4341mm long on a 2670mm wheelbase with 168mm of clearance, carries 416 litres of luggage below the parcel shelf and 1193 litres with the rear seat folded, and is rated to tow 1050kg braked. Standard kit runs to seven airbags, stability control with hill start assist, 18-inch alloys, automatic climate control, cruise control, Bluetooth with USB, rear parking sensors and rain-sensing wipers, with a reversing camera, xenon headlights, leather seats and a panoramic glass roof all offered at extra cost. Citroen covered it with a three-year/100,000km warranty and 15,000km service intervals. No fuel consumption figure appears anywhere on this document, and no MY2012 Australian price survives, so both are shown as no data rather than guessed.
Configure the Exclusive 2.0 4x2 CVTThe all-wheel-drive version of Citroen Australia's MY2012 C4 Aircross, distinguished from the 4x2 by an electronic selector that switches between 2WD, 4WD and a locked mode. Ateco Automotive's July 2012 specification sheet lists the same 2.0-litre 16-valve petrol four making 110kW at 6000rpm and 197Nm at 4200rpm through a CVT, with the extra hardware costing a little pace and range: 188km/h, 0-100km/h in 10.9 seconds, a 60-litre tank against the 4x2's 63, and 192g/km of CO2. Dimensions are unchanged at 4341mm long on a 2670mm wheelbase with 168mm of clearance, 19 degrees of approach angle and 31 of departure, and the boot holds 416 litres below the parcel shelf or 1193 litres with the rear seat folded. Braked towing is 1050kg. Equipment matches the 4x2 grade, including seven airbags, stability control with hill start assist, 18-inch alloys, automatic climate control, Bluetooth with USB and rear parking sensors, but the panoramic glass roof offered on the front-driver is not available on this version. No fuel consumption figure is printed anywhere on the document and no MY2012 Australian price survives.
