The 2026 GAC M8 PHEV Luxury is a large plug-in hybrid people mover pitched at the Kia Carnival end of the market with a lot more equipment and a lot more silence. GAC Australia quotes 106km of pure electric range on the WLTC standard from its "magazine-style" battery, and the cabin runs to ten-point air-pump massage seats with three massage modes and an external power supply for camping. The figures on file give it a combined 274kW and 630Nm from the 2.0-litre turbo petrol plug-in system. Worth knowing before you compare it against anything: GAC Australia's model page publishes no fuel consumption, no CO2 figure and no power or torque number, so most of the technical detail here is not backed by a manufacturer specification table.
