The 2018 GWM Haval H9 ULTRA is the range-topping grade of Haval's seven-seat 4WD, specified from Haval Australia's own H9 brochure. It shares the LUX's 180kW/350Nm 2.0-litre turbo engine, 8-speed automatic and 2500kg braked towing, but adds a panoramic sunroof, Comfort-Tek trim with power-heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, heated second-row seats, an INFINITY-branded speaker system and, unlike the LUX, standard Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitoring -- all three are only an option on the LUX below it. Haval's brochure notes an adaptive front-lighting system and automatic headlight cleaning as further ULTRA-only additions.

The 2018 GWM Haval H9 LUX is the entry grade of Haval's body-on-frame seven-seat 4WD, specified from Haval Australia's own H9 brochure (a combined Australia/New Zealand document). It runs a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 180kW and 350Nm through a ZF 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters and selectable 4WD with low range, rated to tow 2500kg braked. Haval's brochure lists 10.9L/100km combined fuel and a cavernous 1457 litres of cargo space with the second and third rows folded flat. The LUX keeps a standard (non-panoramic) sunroof, fabric seat trim and manually adjusted front seats; Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitoring are listed as an option becoming available mid-2018 rather than standard fitment.
