Specifications, price and details for the Holden Volt on sale in Australia.
The 2013 Holden Volt is a five-door plug-in hybrid hatchback, specified here from Holden Australia's own Volt brochure (Copyright GM Holden Ltd, August 2012). It combines a 16.5kWh lithium-ion battery driving an electric motor rated at 111kW/370Nm with a 1.4-litre petrol range-extender engine that charges the battery once depleted. Holden's own figures list an electric-only urban range of up to 87km (ADR 81/02) and a combined electric-plus-petrol range of over 600km. It is a strict four-seater (2 front, 2 rear). The Volt was Holden's only plug-in model and was discontinued in Australia by 2015; this listing is retained for reference against Holden's archived specification brochure.
