The Lepas L8 is the launch model for Lepas, Chery's new style-focused brand confirmed for Australia in the second half of 2026. It is a mid-size five-seat SUV measuring 4,688mm long, sharing its plug-in hybrid system with the Chery Tiggo 7 Super Hybrid. A 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine works with an electric motor (105kW/210Nm and 150kW/310Nm respectively) and an 18.3kWh LFP battery for up to 93km of electric range and a claimed 1.4L/100km. Pricing is yet to be confirmed, but the L8 lines up against the BYD Sealion 6, Geely Starray and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.
