The 2026 Mercedes-Benz EQB250 is a compact seven-seat electric SUV designed for families seeking practical EV transport with premium appeal and genuine towing capability. Its standout strength is the 465-kilometre EV range combined with 1800kg towing capacity, making it genuinely versatile for both daily driving and weekend trips with a caravan or trailer. One consideration is that the 140kW output is modest compared to rivals, meaning acceleration is leisurely, though this supports the claimed running costs of around $1758 annually.

The EQB 250 was the boxier, more practical of Mercedes-Benz Australia's two electric small SUVs, built on the GLB's X243 platform. A single front motor makes 140 kW and 385 Nm for 9.2 seconds to 100 km/h, drawing on a 420-volt 66.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. ADR 81/02 consumption is 16.7 kWh/100km for a 507 km maximum range, and charging runs to 11 kW AC or 100 kW DC through a Type 2 CCS port. The upright body pays off in luggage space: 495 litres expanding to 1710. Kerb weight is 2059 kg against a 2520 kg GVM. Standard equipment includes the Driver Assistance Package with DISTRONIC, Active Steering Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist, the Parking Package with a 360-degree camera, twin 10.25-inch MBUX screens, an Advanced Sound System, heated front seats with four-way lumbar, THERMOTRONIC dual-zone climate with pre-entry conditioning, wireless charging, a powered tailgate and adjustable damping suspension.

The EQB 350 4MATIC added a rear motor to Mercedes-Benz Australia's electric GLB, lifting system output to 215 kW and 520 Nm and dropping the 0-100 km/h claim to 6.2 seconds. It uses the same 420-volt 66.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, but consumption rises to 18.8 kWh/100km on ADR 81/02 and maximum range falls to 445 km, the shortest of the four Mercedes-EQ small SUVs sold here. Kerb weight is 2153 kg with a 2580 kg GVM, and boot space stays at 495 to 1710 litres. Over the EQB 250 it adds illuminated door sills and 20-inch AMG multi-spoke alloys.
