The EQC 400 was Mercedes-Benz's first mainstream electric SUV in Australia, sold from 2019 until its local discontinuation around 2022-2023. Twin asynchronous motors (one per axle) combine for 300kW and 760Nm through a single-speed direct-drive transmission, with an 80kWh lithium-ion battery (405V, 230Ah, 652kg) good for an ADR 81/02 range of 445km and 209Wh/km combined consumption. 0-100km/h takes 5.1 seconds. Mercedes-Benz's November 2021 technical sheet lists a 2,500kg tare mass, 2,940kg GVM, 75kg roof load and a 500-litre boot, on internally ventilated 360mm discs front and rear with independent multi-link suspension at both ends -- but publishes no towing figure ('TBA'), no exterior dimensions and no price.

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 4MATIC was the sole grade of Mercedes' first electric SUV sold in Australia, its two asynchronous motors making 300kW combined and 760Nm through 4MATIC all-wheel drive from an 80kWh lithium-ion battery. Mercedes-Benz Australia's November 2021 technical-data sheet quotes 0-100km/h in 5.1 seconds, an ADR-tested range of 445km and DC fast-charging up to 110kW. Mercedes-Benz Australia's own documents disagree on this car's mass across three printings — this row deliberately leaves kerb weight unset rather than pick a disputed figure.
