The Omoda 7 is an upcoming plug-in hybrid mid-size SUV locked in for Australia in the second half of 2026, aimed squarely at the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and BYD Sealion 6. It pairs a 105kW 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 150kW electric motor and an 18.3kWh LFP battery for a combined 205kW and 365Nm, and around 90km of WLTP electric range (based on the related Jaecoo J7 SHS). A signature feature is a 15.6-inch infotainment screen that slides between the driver and passenger. Pricing and full Australian specifications are yet to be confirmed, so the figures here are provisional and subject to change.
