The second-generation Peugeot 508 (R8, 2019-2024) is a low-slung, frameless-door 'fastback' sedan and Sportswagon wagon sold in Australia exclusively in GT trim. Every AU car is generously equipped with the 12.3-inch digital i-Cockpit, 10-inch touchscreen, Focal 10-speaker audio, adaptive suspension, full LED lighting, a 360-degree camera and a comprehensive active-safety suite. The petrol GT uses a 165kW 1.6-litre turbo, while a later GT PHEV Fastback added a plug-in-hybrid drivetrain with roughly 40-45km of electric range; the higher-output PSE was never officially sold here.
