The Silverado 1500 ZR2 is the off-road hero of GMSV's full-size pickup range. It keeps the 6.2-litre EcoTec3 V8 (313kW/624Nm) and 10-speed auto, but adds Multimatic DSSV spool-valve dampers, driver-selectable front and rear locking differentials, a lifted ZR2 suspension tune, skid plates, 18-inch wheels on 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory mud-terrain tyres and a healthy 296mm of ground clearance with a 31.8-degree approach angle. It still tows up to 4,500kg with the 70mm ball. Like the rest of the range it is built in the US, remanufactured to right-hand drive in Australia, sold on a dealer-quote basis with no published RRP, and carries no ANCAP rating.
