The Geely EX2 is a light electric hatch confirmed for Australia, with a launch expected around Q3 2026 and pricing pointing to roughly $30,000, making it one of the more affordable EVs on sale here. It uses a single 85kW rear motor and a 40kWh battery for a claimed 330km of range. It slots below the EX5 as Geely's city-EV entry point, taking on the BYD Dolphin and MG4. Australian specs vary by grade and are preliminary. We have not driven it.
Configure the TBAThe Geely EX2 Complete is the entry grade of Geely Australia's small electric hatch, with a rear-mounted 60 kW / 150 Nm permanent-magnet synchronous motor driving the rear wheels. A 35.35 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery gives a quoted 252 km of WLTP range at 15.9 kWh/100km, with up to 6.6 kW AC and 60 kW DC charging and 3.3 kW vehicle-to-load output. Geely claims 14.2 seconds to 100 km/h and a 130 km/h limited top speed, on a tight 9.9-metre turning circle. It is 4,135 mm long on a 2,645 mm wheelbase with a 70-litre frunk, 375 litres behind the rear seats and 1,320 litres folded, and rides on 16-inch steel wheels.
Configure the CompleteThe Geely EX2 Inspire tops the small electric hatch range with a rear-mounted 85 kW / 150 Nm permanent-magnet motor and a larger 47.14 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, good for a quoted 345 km of WLTP range at 15.5 kWh/100km and 80 kW DC charging. Geely claims 11.5 seconds to 100 km/h against the Complete's 14.2. It adds 16-inch alloys, a contrasting black roof, a power tailgate, rain sensing wipers, a surround view monitor with transparent view, a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, 256-colour ambient lighting, 15W wireless charging and a six-speaker system. Luggage space is 375 litres seats-up, 1,320 litres folded, plus a 70-litre frunk.
