Every Australian GM6 City uses a 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder producing 88kW at 6600rpm and 145Nm at 4600rpm, sending drive to the front wheels. The VTi can be had with a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic, while the VTi-L is CVT-only and adds steering-wheel paddle shifters.

How practical is the Honda City's boot?

The GM6 City has a 536-litre VDA boot, which Honda marketed as class-leading for a light sedan, plus 60:40 split-fold rear seats to extend cargo space. Both VTi and VTi-L seat five and share the same 4455mm length and 2600mm wheelbase.
