The 2026 Hyundai Sonata N Line is the sporty, single-variant flagship of Hyundai's mid-size sedan range in Australia, powered by a 213kW/422Nm 2.5-litre turbo-petrol four paired with an 8-speed wet dual-clutch transmission driving the front wheels. It's pitched at buyers who want real performance and a long list of standard gear without stepping up to a European badge: launch control, rev-matching, N Power Shift, 19-inch alloys, a dual 12.3-inch curved display, Bose 12-speaker audio, a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats and the full Hyundai SmartSense safety suite all come as standard. Running costs are the main trade-off, with a claimed 8.1L/100km on 91 RON and no hybrid option offered locally. Worth noting the Sonata N Line is not ANCAP-rated, so there's no independent crash-test score to lean on.

Hyundai Motor Company Australia announced on 18 June 2026 that it had completed the country's first standards-compliant V2G discharge under ISO 15118-20.
