The XE30 Lexus IS (2013-2024) is a rear-drive compact luxury sports sedan built on the same platform across an early phase (IS 250, later IS 200t, plus IS 300h hybrid and V6 IS 350) and a 2020 facelift (IS 300 turbo, IS 300h, IS 350). It is prized used for Lexus reliability, a genuine 5-star ANCAP result and Lexus Safety System+ on later cars, with the self-charging IS 300h hybrid the fuel-economy pick (from ~4.9-5.1 L/100km) and the naturally aspirated 3.5 V6 IS 350 the performance flagship. Buyers should note the F Sport grade adds adaptive variable suspension and 18/19-inch wheels; the pre-2015 IS 250 V6 is thirstier and slower than the turbo four that replaced it.
