The GT R is the hardest-edged C190 Mercedes-AMG GT Australia sold before the Black Series, and for 2020 it topped the local range. Its 3,982 cc twin-turbo V8 makes 430 kW at 6,250 rpm and 700 Nm from 2,100 rpm, good for 3.6 seconds to 100 km/h and 318 km/h. It runs the widest rubber in the family at 275/35 ZR 19 front and 325/30 ZR 20 rear on 10-spoke forged alloys, and swaps the GT S and GT C's panoramic sunroof and retractable spoiler for a carbon-fibre roof and a fixed rear aerofoil, with yellow-painted callipers on the AMG high-performance composite brakes. Inside it gains the AMG Interior Night and piano-lacquer packages and nappa leather with DINAMICA microfibre. ADR 81/02 consumption is 11.4 L/100km combined and 259 g/km. The optional AMG Track Package adds a roll-over protection bar, AMG Sports bucket seats and a supplementary four-point harness for circuit use.

The GT C Roadster is the soft-top version of the C190 Mercedes-AMG GT, and the only open-top AMG GT Mercedes-Benz Australia listed for 2020. ADR 81/02 consumption is 11.5 L/100km combined with 261 g/km CO2, though the urban figure rises to 15.7 L/100km against the coupe's 15.2. The boot drops to 165 litres and the Gross Vehicle Mass rises to 1,940 kg; Mercedes publishes no kerb weight or exterior dimensions for this car in its Australian documents.
