The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA 180 is the entry point to the all-new, third-generation CLA and the first to use a 48-volt mild-hybrid petrol setup. A 1.5-litre turbo four makes 100kW, with a 22kW electric boost built into the new 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox that also allows short bursts of electric-only running around town. Mercedes quotes 5.4L/100km and 122g/km of CO2, a 0-100km/h time of 8.8 seconds and front-wheel drive. It shares the CLA's MBUX Superscreen, panoramic roof and 360-degree camera. Priced from $66,500 before on-road costs, it is the sensible-money way into the range.
Configure the CLA 180The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 sits a step above the 180 in the all-new CLA range and uses the same 48-volt mild-hybrid petrol package with a bit more muscle. Its 1.5-litre turbo four makes 120kW, backed by a 22kW electric boost through the 8-speed dual-clutch auto, for a claimed 8.0-second 0-100km/h while still returning 5.4L/100km and 122g/km. Drive goes to the front wheels. You still get the CLA's MBUX Superscreen, panoramic roof, 360-degree camera and memory seats. It is priced from $68,100 before on-road costs.
Configure the CLA 200The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 Electric is the entry EV in the all-new CLA range, built on Mercedes' new 800-volt architecture. A single rear motor makes 165kW and 335Nm for a 7.5-second 0-100km/h, and a 58kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery gives up to 470km of WLTP range. It DC fast charges at up to 200kW, adding 10 to 80 per cent in around 20 minutes, and uses a two-speed transmission for efficiency. At $72,200 before on-road costs it slips under the luxury car tax threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles, so it also qualifies for the electric-car FBT exemption on novated leases.
Configure the CLA 200 ElectricThe 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA 220 4MATIC tops the petrol side of the all-new CLA range and is the only mild-hybrid variant with all-wheel drive. Its 1.5-litre turbo four produces 140kW, with a 22kW electric assist through the 8-speed dual-clutch auto, good for a claimed 7.1-second 0-100km/h. 4MATIC traction and larger 19-inch wheels lift its everyday ability, and Mercedes still quotes 5.8L/100km and 131g/km. It runs the same MBUX Superscreen cabin and carries a 51-litre tank. Pricing is $84,300 before on-road costs.
Configure the CLA 220 4MATICThe 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA 350 4MATIC Electric is the flagship of the all-new CLA range, pairing dual motors and all-wheel drive with the longest range in the line-up. Combined outputs are 260kW and 515Nm, enough for a 4.9-second 0-100km/h, and the 85kWh battery on Mercedes' 800-volt platform is rated at up to 663km WLTP. DC fast charging peaks at a very quick 320kW, so 10 to 80 per cent takes about 22 minutes. Priced from $91,300 before on-road costs, it sneaks under the fuel-efficient luxury car tax threshold, making it FBT-exempt for novated leases too.
