The MY2024 Omoda E5 EX is the flagship of Chery Australia's first electric SUV. It shares the 150 kW / 340 Nm front motor and 61.1 kWh LFP battery with the BX, at 430 km WLTP or 460 km NEDC, and adds black synthetic leather with heated front and outboard rear seats, a heated leather steering wheel, a six-way power driver's seat and four-way power passenger seat, multi-colour ambient lighting, a power sunroof with retractable sunshade, acoustic front door glass, rear privacy glass, a power tailgate, sequential rear turn signals, puddle lamps, a 360-degree around-view monitor and the eight-speaker Sony system. It keeps the full-size spare, 19-litre frunk, 1,776 kg tare mass and the seven-year vehicle plus eight-year battery warranty.
Configure the EXThe MY2024 Omoda E5 BX is the entry electric SUV of Chery Australia's Omoda line: a 150 kW / 340 Nm front-mounted permanent-magnet motor with a 61.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, rated at 430 km WLTP (155 Wh/km) or 460 km NEDC. It charges at up to 9.9 kW three-phase AC through a Type 2 port in the front grille, or 80 kW DC on CCS2 with a 30-80 per cent charge quoted at 28 minutes. At 4,424 mm long it carries 300 litres to the cargo cover and 1,079 with the rear seats folded, plus a 19-litre frunk, and it is one of the few EVs of its era with a full-size spare wheel. Tare mass is 1,776 kg against a 2,246 kg GVM. The BX runs charcoal fabric seats with a manual six-way driver's seat, a six-speaker Sony system, dual 12.3-inch screens, DAB+, a 50 W wireless charger and the full ADAS suite; a seven-year unlimited-kilometre vehicle warranty and eight-year battery warranty apply.
