The 2026 Skoda Scala 85TSI Select is a roomy small hatchback for Australian buyers who want European build quality and a genuinely big boot without stepping up to an SUV. Its 1.5-litre turbo four makes 110kW and 250Nm through a 7-speed DSG for a brisk 8.2-second 0-100km/h at a claimed 5.2L/100km, while standard gear includes Matrix LED headlights, a 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit, 9.2-inch satellite navigation, a panoramic glass roof, heated sports seats and an electric tailgate. Combined fuel use is 5.6 L/100km on ADR 81/02 with 126 g/km of CO2. Skoda quotes 8.2 seconds to 100 km/h. Tare mass is 1325 kg. The January 2021 brochure lists a 1.5-litre turbo petrol four making 110kW at 6000rpm and 250Nm from 1500 to 3500rpm, driving the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic for 219km/h and 0-100km/h in 8.3 seconds.
