The Subaru Tribeca 3.6R Premium is a 7-seat, all-wheel-drive large SUV that Subaru Australia sold as its range-topping wagon from 2008 until local sales wound down in January 2014, after the facelift that dropped the original 'B9 Tribeca' name and controversial front-end styling. It runs a 3.6-litre horizontally-opposed six-cylinder petrol engine (190kW/350Nm) through a 5-speed automatic and Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, with Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) stability control standard. Subaru's own MY2012 brochure lists a 1950kg kerb weight, 11.6L/100km combined fuel use on the ADR81/02 cycle and 275g/km CO2. By this point in its life only one grade was offered, loaded with equipment for its era: leather trim, an 8-way power driver's seat with memory, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, an electric sunroof, Xenon headlights, satellite navigation with a 7-inch touchscreen and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system, plus dual front, side and curtain airbags. It carries a 2000kg braked towing capacity and a 3-year/unlimited-km warranty, in keeping with Subaru Australia's terms of the period.
