The Model X Long Range was Tesla's seven-seat electric SUV in Australia, and the Green Vehicle Guide certifies this 2019-2020 record at 580 km of range and 198 Wh/km. It is a very large vehicle: 5,037 mm long on a 2,965 mm wheelbase, 2,271 mm wide across the mirrors, with standard Smart Air Suspension that varies ground clearance between 137 and 211 mm. Tesla quoted 2,180 litres of interior storage in the six-seat configuration, on top of a front trunk. The signature feature is the pair of Falcon Wing rear doors, which open upward and make the second and third rows reachable in tight parking spaces, alongside a self-presenting front door and an automatic rear liftgate. Inside there is a 17-inch touchscreen, a seventeen-speaker audio system, HEPA cabin air filtration, twelve-way power heated front seats with memory, heated seats throughout the cabin and a heated steering wheel, and the largest glass panoramic windscreen Tesla has put into production. Up to four ISOFIX child-seat attachments are available. The battery and drive unit carried an eight-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.

The 2020 Tesla Model X Performance (XA3EP) is the Performance version of Tesla's Model X electric large SUV in its final Australian-specification form, sold new in Australia and no longer available new. It uses Tesla's Dual Motor all-wheel drive with a single-speed transmission and adaptive air suspension. It is rated to tow 2,250 kg braked. Tesla Australia quoted 619 km of range on the NEDC cycle, and the Green Vehicle Guide lists 196 Wh/km. Tesla quoted 0-100km/h in as little as 2.8 seconds for this grade, but its configurator tied that time to the optional Ludicrous Mode, so no base figure is shown here. Figures come from Tesla Australia's own pages and the Green Vehicle Guide; Tesla published no Australian dimensions or labelled kerb weight for this car, so those are left blank rather than estimated.

The Model X 90 kWh Dual Motor was one of the first electric seven-seat SUVs certified for sale in Australia, and the Green Vehicle Guide records 489 km of range and 208 Wh/km for it. The body is the familiar Model X: 5,037 mm long on a 2,965 mm wheelbase, Falcon Wing rear doors, Smart Air Suspension adjusting ground clearance from 137 to 211 mm, 2,180 litres of interior storage in the six-seat layout, and a front trunk on top of that. Tesla Australia's 2018 page lists a 17-inch touchscreen with navigation and real-time traffic, automatic keyless entry, an automatic rear liftgate, twelve-way power heated front seats with memory and driver profiles, soft LED ambient lighting, power-folding heated mirrors, three-position dynamic LED turning lights and LED fog lights. The warranty on this era of car was unusually long: eight years and unlimited kilometres on the battery and drive unit, plus an eight-year, 160,000 km limited warranty, where the 2019 car's limited warranty had shortened to four years and 80,000 km.
