The 2026 Nissan Navara D27 SL is the entry point into Nissan's all-new fifth-generation ute, and it's a genuinely capable working truck rather than a stripped-out base model: the 2.4-litre bi-turbo diesel making 150kW/470Nm and 3,500kg braked towing are identical across the whole range, and Nissan's Electronic Locking Rear Differential comes standard even at this grade. It rides on 17-inch steel wheels with all-terrain tyres and uses the simpler Easy 4WD dual-range system rather than the flagship's Torsen limited-slip set-up. Standard safety is comprehensive for the class -- AEB, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise and a 5-star ANCAP rating are fitted from launch -- though buyers wanting leather trim, a power driver's seat or the terrain-mode selector will need to step up a grade or two.
Configure the SLThe 2026 Nissan Navara D27 ST sits one rung above the base SL and adds the equipment most tradies and families actually notice day-to-day: alloy wheels, power-folding heated mirrors, LED front fog lights, privacy glass and side steps, on top of the same 150kW/470Nm bi-turbo diesel and 3,500kg tow rating every D27 shares. It still uses the simpler Easy 4WD system (no Torsen centre diff or terrain-mode selector -- those arrive at ST-X), and seats stay fabric-trimmed with a manually adjusted driver's chair, but the extra creature comforts make it the value pick for buyers who don't need the flagship's off-road hardware.
Configure the STThe 2026 Nissan Navara D27 ST-X is where the range gets serious about both comfort and off-road capability: it swaps to the Super 4WD system with a Torsen limited-slip centre differential and a seven-mode terrain selector, adds Hill Descent Control, and pairs that with an 8-way power driver's seat, leather-accented trim, dual-zone climate and a complimentary 5-year MyNISSAN connected-services subscription. The same 150kW/470Nm bi-turbo diesel and 3,500kg towing capacity carry over, but the ST-X's 18-inch wheels run highway-terrain tyres rather than the all-terrain rubber on the other three grades, a genuine trade-off worth knowing about before you go touring.
Configure the ST-XThe 2026 Nissan Navara D27 PRO-4X tops the range as the off-road flagship, pairing the Super 4WD Torsen limited-slip system and seven-mode terrain selector with a wider track (1,930mm vs 1,865mm), black wheel-arch flares, a sports bar and a genuine Nissan towbar fitted as standard -- the only grade in the range to get one out of the box. Ownership terms are shared with the rest of the range -- up to 10 years/300,000km of service-activated warranty when you service with Nissan, otherwise five years and unlimited kilometres -- and the PRO-4X adds the leather-accented PRO-4X-embroidered seats, heated front seats and 8-way power driver's seat shared with ST-X. At 964kg it has the lowest payload of the four grades, the trade-off for its extra standard equipment and 2,226kg kerb weight.
