The 2026 Chery E5 Ultimate is a practical five-seat electric SUV that suits buyers after affordable EV motoring without compromising on safety. It delivers a solid 430km driving range on a single charge, so you won't be hunting for chargers constantly. Just keep in mind it can't tow, which might matter if you've got a boat or trailer in your plans.
Configure the UltimateThe MY25.5 Chery E5 Urban is the entry grade of Chery Australia's electric small SUV, with a 155 kW / 288 Nm permanent-magnet synchronous motor driving the front wheels through a reduction gear. A 58.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery gives a quoted 430 km of WLTP range (505 km on the NEDC/ADR 81/02 cycle), and DC charging from 30 to 80 per cent takes about 30 minutes on a 130 kW charger. It carries a 19-litre front storage compartment that the Ultimate loses to its heat pump, 300 litres behind the rear seats and 1,079 litres with them folded. Tare mass is 1,776 kg and the car rides on 18-inch alloys with a full-size spare.

Over the Urban it gains a heat pump, a 360-degree around view monitor, powered and heated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a heated steering wheel, colour selectable ambient lighting, an eight-speaker Sony system, 50W wireless charging, a power sunroof with retractable sunshade, acoustic front glass, privacy glass and a power tailgate. It gives up the Urban's 19-litre frunk, which the heat pump occupies, and carries a 1,776 kg tare mass on 18-inch alloys.
