The 2025 MG QS Excite is the front-drive entry to MG's first proper seven-seat large SUV, and it leads on value. It runs a 2.0-litre turbo petrol with 153kW and 360Nm through an 9-speed automatic, tows a genuine 2,000kg braked, and packs a long features list: tri-zone climate, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof and a full safety suite with AEB, blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise. It carries a 5-star ANCAP rating and a 10-year/250,000km conditional warranty. The trade-off versus the Essence is cloth seats and the absence of heated and ventilated seats, wireless charging and the Bose audio.
Configure the ExciteThe 2025 MG QS Essence is a seven-seat petrol SUV with all-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox. It's $50,990 RRP, which is the recommended retail price, before on-road costs. Fuel use is 8.8L/100km on the combined cycle and it carries a 65-litre fuel tank. Boot space is 203 litres with all seats up, so luggage room is tight when the third row is in use, and it opens to 1,052 litres with the rear seats folded. It suits bigger families who want seven seats and a 2,000kg braked towing figure.
