The 2023 Audi RS 7 Sportback is the five-door liftback sibling to the RS 6 Avant, sold new in Australia and now used. It uses the same 3,996 cc twin-turbo V8 with cylinder on demand and 48V mild-hybrid assistance at 441 kW and 800 Nm, the same eight-speed tiptronic and quattro with sport differential, and Audi quotes the same 3.6 seconds to 100 km/h and 280 km/h top speed. It is fractionally lighter and thriftier than the Avant on Audi's own numbers: 2,140 kg unladen against 2,150, 2,735 kg gross against 2,740, and 11.6 L/100km with 265 g/km CO2 against 11.7 and 268, all on the ADR 81/02 combined cycle on 22-inch wheels. Standard equipment mirrors the RS 6 bar the wagon-specific luggage rails: adaptive air suspension, all-wheel steering, dynamic steering, RS high-performance brakes with red callipers, an RS sport exhaust, heated and ventilated Valcona RS sport seats, four-zone climate, HD Matrix LED headlights with Audi laser light, a head-up display and a 16-speaker 705 W Bang & Olufsen 3D system.
