The Chery Stockman is a rugged dual-cab ute confirmed for Australia, due in showrooms around Q4 2026, with Australia set to be its first market globally. At launch it uses a diesel plug-in hybrid 'Super Hybrid' powertrain: a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel paired with electric drive for a Chery-claimed 350kW and 800Nm, 4WD with low range, 3,500kg braked towing and around 100km of electric-only range (NEDC) from a 34kWh battery, with a combined fuel claim near 2.0L/100km. It is a big ute at 5,450mm long on a 3,250mm wheelbase with a 1,000kg payload. Pricing has not been announced, with Chery positioning it against the BYD Shark 6. Specs are from Chery Australia's preview page and some figures are indicative pending the local launch.
