The 2024 Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max Urban FWD is a seven-seat large SUV powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol making 180kW and 375Nm through an 7-speed dual-clutch, with claimed combined fuel use of 8.1L/100km. It pairs a 5-star ANCAP rating (tested 2023) and 10 airbags with a deep ADAS suite including AEB, blind-spot, lane-keep and 360-degree camera, plus dual 12.3-inch displays, 8-speaker Sony audio, heated and ventilated front seats and a 7-year unlimited-km warranty. The two trade-offs to weigh up: braked towing tops out at 1,300kg, lower than most large-SUV rivals, and behind the third row you only get 117 litres of boot space (479L with row three folded).

The 2024 Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max Ultimate AWD is the top-spec seven-seater in Chery's large-SUV range, using the same 180kW/375Nm 2.0-litre turbo as the Urban but with all-wheel drive, extra off-road modes (Snow, Mud, Offroad), 19-inch alloys and 10-speaker Sony audio. The Ultimate adds a panoramic sunroof, privacy glass, illuminated door sills, puddle lamps and a fragrance system on top of the standard heated/ventilated front seats and dual 12.3-inch displays. Same 5-star ANCAP rating (tested 2023) and 7-year unlimited-km warranty as the rest of the range; AWD does push combined fuel use to 8.7L/100km and braked towing remains 1,300kg, so confirm that suits if you're planning to tow.
