The Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray is the first all-wheel-drive, electrified Corvette, sold in right-hand drive by GMSV. It keeps the 6.2-litre LT2 V8 driving the rear wheels but adds a 119kW electric motor on the front axle, fed by a small 1.9kWh battery, for a combined 488kW and 806Nm and a claimed 0-100km/h of 2.9 seconds, making it the quickest-accelerating Corvette GMSV sells. There is no plug: the battery self-charges, and a Stealth Mode lets it creep on electric power alone at low speed. Standard carbon-ceramic brakes, Magnetic Ride Control, a wider body, a 12.7-inch touchscreen, 14-speaker Bose audio and a head-up display feature. No ANCAP rating. Priced from $292,990 before on-road costs.
