The 2026 Kia EV6 Air RWD is the entry point to Kia's mid-size electric SUV and the long-distance pick of the range, with a WLTP combined range of 582km from the 84kWh battery and the lowest energy use of the four grades at 159Wh/km. It is practical too: 490 litres behind the rear seats, a 52-litre frunk under the bonnet and 1,800kg of braked towing, all behind a seven-year warranty. The consideration is that 168kW and 350Nm through the rear wheels is the sensible tune rather than the quick one, so it prioritises range and running costs over pace.
Configure the Air RWDThe 2026 Kia EV6 GT-Line RWD adds the full equipment list to the single-motor EV6 without giving up much range, claiming 560km WLTP from the 84kWh battery at 169Wh/km. It keeps the sensible 168kW and 350Nm rear-drive tune, tows 1,800kg braked and carries 480 litres behind the rear seats plus a 52-litre frunk. Two things to weigh: the wider 19-inch GT-Line wheels cost you 22km of range against the Air, and rear-wheel drive means less traction than the dual-motor grades if you regularly tow or drive in the wet.
Configure the GT-Line RWDThe 2026 Kia EV6 GT-Line AWD adds a front motor to the GT-Line, lifting combined output to 239kW and 605Nm and cutting the 0-100km/h claim to about 5.3 seconds while keeping 1,800kg of braked towing. The trade is range and packaging: 522km WLTP at 177Wh/km against the rear-drive car's 560km, and the front motor shrinks the frunk from 52 to 20 litres. Boot space behind the rear seats is 480 litres, which is fair rather than generous for a five-seat SUV of this size, so buyers who regularly carry bulky loads should measure before committing.
Configure the GT-Line AWDThe 2026 Kia EV6 GT AWD is the performance flagship, with a combined 478kW and 770Nm from its dual-motor drivetrain and a claimed 0-100km/h of about 3.5 seconds with launch control. It still works as a family car: 480 litres behind the rear seats, a 20-litre frunk and 1,800kg of braked towing. The costs of that performance are real, though. WLTP range drops to 450km at 209Wh/km, the worst of the range, and it is the most expensive EV6 by a wide margin, so budget for a home charger and be honest about how often you will use the pace.
