The Emira Turbo SE is the mid-spec model at $223,990 RRP. Same Mercedes-AMG 2.0L turbo four-cylinder as the standard Turbo but uprated to 298kW and 480Nm with revised mapping. Same 8-speed DCT and RWD. Lotus quotes 0-100km/h in 4.0 seconds (0.4 sec quicker than Turbo). The 'SE' adds adaptive dampers, a sport-tuned exhaust, a 10-speaker KEF audio system, drive-mode-linked dampers and Alcantara interior trim over the standard Turbo. The pick if you want the i4's lighter weight and quicker acceleration but with more equipment and tunability than the entry Turbo.

The Emira V6 SE is the range-topping variant at $252,990 RRP and the spiritual successor to the Lotus Exige V6. A Toyota-sourced 3.5-litre supercharged V6 produces 298kW and 430Nm, mated standard to a 6-speed manual gearbox with a Torsen limited-slip differential. A 6-speed automatic is a no-cost option. 0-100km/h takes 4.2 seconds, top speed 290km/h. The V6 is also the only Emira with the classic Lotus naturally-aspirated/supercharged engine character — louder, more emotional, with throttle response no turbo can match. Adaptive dampers, KEF audio, Alcantara interior all standard. 3-year/100,000km warranty.
