The fourth-generation Renault Clio (2013-2019) was a stylish French light hatch sold in Australia in mainstream turbo-petrol grades (Expression/Dynamique early on, then Life/Zen/Intens/GT-Line after the 2016 facelift) plus the hot Renault Sport R.S. 200 and limited R.S. 220 Trophy. It scored a 5-star ANCAP rating and later cars carried Renault's 5-year unlimited-kilometre warranty. Used buyers should note the frugal 0.9 three-cylinder is manual-only, the 1.2 turbo pairs with a 6-speed dual-clutch (EDC) auto, and Renault Australia dropped the Clio entirely after this generation, so it is the last Clio sold here.

The Clio R.S. 200 Angel & Demon was Renault Australia's individually numbered March-2012 limited edition - two-tone paint splitting an angelic white nose from a black rear, RECARO leather seats, 18-inch gloss-black Interlagos wheels and the RS Monitor telemetry - over the unchanged 147.5 kW / 215 Nm naturally aspirated 2.0-litre with the six-speed manual. Automatic climate control, keyless card entry, auto lights and wipers and folding mirrors are all printed standard. Its sheet quotes the familiar 225 km/h, 6.9 seconds and 8.2 L/100km at 195 g/km under ADR 81/02, but a heavier printed tare of 1,393 kg. Kerb weight and RRP show no data - neither is printed.

The Clio R.S. 200 Cup 20th Anniversary was a numbered limited edition marking twenty years of the hot Clio, published by Renault Australia in June 2010: the standard Cup's 147.5 kW / 215 Nm naturally aspirated 2.0-litre and six-speed manual, with Recaro front seats, handsfree Smart Card key, electric folding mirrors, privacy glass and black 17-inch Speedline alloys as its printed edition kit, plus a numbered plate in the cabin. Performance and economy match the donor Cup exactly - 225 km/h, 6.9 seconds to 100 km/h, 8.2 L/100km and 195 g/km under ADR 81/02. The sheet prints a 1,281 kg tare weight, so kerb weight shows no data. No RRP was printed.

The Clio R.S. 200 Gordini Edition, published by Renault Australia in February 2011, dressed the R.S. 200 in the historic Gordini livery: watermarked stripes, blue-and-black embossed leather seats, a blue-trimmed leather wheel and BeBop 17-inch alloys, over the unchanged 147.5 kW / 215 Nm naturally aspirated 2.0-litre and six-speed manual. It kept the RS Monitor telemetry display, cruise control with limiter, climate control and Bluetooth streaming as printed standard kit. Performance and ADR economy match the donor car - 225 km/h, 6.9 seconds, 8.2 L/100km, 195 g/km. The sheet prints a tare mass (1,281 kg), so kerb weight shows no data, and no RRP was printed.

The Clio R.S. 197 was the F1-inspired hot hatch of the X85 range: a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre four revving to 145 kW at 7,250 rpm with 215 Nm, a six-speed manual, and Brembo four-piston front brakes behind 17-inch wheels. Renault Australia's own sheet quotes 223 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds, 8.4 L/100km combined under ADR 81/02 and a 1,221 kg kerb weight - figures the Green Vehicle Guide's certification record matches exactly. It ran in Australia to 2010 alongside the arriving RS 200, with the panoramic sunroof, xenon lights and the firmer Cup chassis all printed as paid options. No RRP appears on the sheet and no ANCAP rating is recorded.

The Clio IV opened its Australian range in late 2013 with the Authentique: the 898 cc three-cylinder TCe 90 turbo at 66 kW and 135 Nm, a five-speed manual, and a 4.5 L/100km combined ADR figure at 105 g/km that made it one of the most frugal petrol cars in the country. The September-2013 sheet gives it a 1,019 kg kerb weight, a 300-litre boot, cruise control with speed limiter, Bluetooth, stop-start and a full stability-control suite as standard on 15-inch steel wheels - but marks auto headlights, navigation, leather wheel and rear electric windows as not available on this grade. Renault backed it with a five-year unlimited-kilometre warranty. No RRP is printed on the sheet.

The Clio R.S. 200 Cup landed in March 2010 as the X85's swansong hot hatch: 147.5 kW at 7,100 rpm from the naturally aspirated 2.0-litre four, a six-speed manual, the firmer Cup chassis as standard, and Brembo four-piston front brakes. Renault Australia's launch sheet quotes 225 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and 8.2 L/100km combined under ADR 81/02 at 195 g/km - exactly what the Green Vehicle Guide's 2010 certification record prints. It is a strict four-seater with Recaro-equipped Trophee Pack, satellite navigation and special paints as printed options. The sheet prints a 1,281 kg tare weight rather than a kerb figure, so kerb weight shows no data on this row. No RRP appears on the sheet.

The Clio R.S. 200 Red Bull Racing RB8 closed out the X85 RS line in Australia: an October-2012 limited edition in metallic black with a chequered roof, yellow F1-style blade and mirrors, Red Bull Racing badging, 18-inch Interlagos alloys and RECARO bucket seats - the Cup chassis and the unchanged 147.5 kW / 215 Nm naturally aspirated 2.0-litre underneath. Renault's sheet (shared with the Megane RB8) prints the familiar 225 km/h, 6.9 seconds and 8.2 L/100km at 195 g/km under ADR 81/02 in the Clio's own column, plus a 1,281 kg tare. By its December-2012 specification the Clio R.S. 200 Cup had settled into run-out form: the same 147.5 kW / 215 Nm naturally aspirated 2.0-litre and six-speed manual, now with RECARO cloth buckets, cruise control, automatic lights and wipers, climate control and Bluetooth all printed standard, and Renault's warranty stretched to three years with unlimited kilometres. This revision finally prints a kerb weight - 1,281 kg - where the earlier sheets printed the same figure as tare. Performance and economy are unchanged at 225 km/h, 6.9 seconds, 8.2 L/100km and 195 g/km under ADR 81/02, matching the Green Vehicle Guide's 2011-2013 certification exactly. No RRP was printed.

The September-2013 sheet prints 4.5 L/100km and 105 g/km to ADR 81/02 at a 1,019 kg kerb weight, with the Electric Pack (auto lights and wipers, electric rear windows, keyless entry, heated folding mirrors) and a panoramic sunroof as printed options. Kerb weight rises to 1,104 kg and the rear drums grow to 228 mm, while the Expression kit carries over: 7-inch touchscreen navigation, Arkamys audio, fog lights, leather wheel and 16-inch wheels, with the Electric Pack and panoramic sunroof optional. Stop-start is manual-only by the sheet's own footnote, so the EDC goes without. No RRP is printed.
