The R.S. 265 produces 195kW at 5500rpm and 360Nm from 3000rpm; the later R.S. 275 Trophy lifts peak power to 201kW while keeping the 360Nm torque figure (now spread 3000-5000rpm). Both use the 2.0-litre turbocharged F4R petrol engine and a six-speed manual gearbox.

Is the Megane III R.S. manual or automatic?

Manual only. Every Australian-delivered Megane III R.S. 265 and 275 Trophy came with a six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen-style limited-slip differential driving the front wheels.

The Megane III R.S. is Renault Sport's front-drive hot hatch built around a 2.0-litre turbo four (F4R) and the acclaimed Cup chassis with PerfoHub steering and a limited-slip differential. AU buyers got the 195kW R.S. 265 (Cup/Cup+/Trophy+) and, from 2015, the sharper 201kW R.S. 275 Trophy with Akrapovic titanium exhaust.
