If you're running a school, a club, a tour outfit or a church group and need to move a crowd, the 2026 Toyota Coaster Standard is a 22-seat diesel bus built for exactly that job. It's priced at $138,080 RRP, which is the recommended retail price, before on-road costs. The diesel makes 110kW. It also produces 420Nm, goes through a 6-speed automatic with sequential shift to the rear wheels, and carries a 95-litre fuel tank. Braked towing is rated at 1,400kg, but we don't have its fuel consumption or cargo volume figures yet.
Configure the StandardThe Toyota Coaster Deluxe is the higher grade of Toyota's 22-seat minibus, adding an automatic gliding passenger door and cloth-covered seats over the Standard. It shares the 2.8-litre turbo-diesel (110kW/420Nm) and 6-speed automatic, with 3-point seat belts on all 22 seats, Toyota Safety Sense and a reversing camera as standard. Like almost all buses it has no ANCAP rating. Priced from $142,180. Figures here are from Toyota Australia, not a road test.
