The 2026 Polestar 5 is a 5-seat electric sedan producing 650kW and 900Nm through its AWD drivetrain, with up to 670km of WLTP range from a 106kWh battery. ANCAP had not published a safety rating at the time of listing, and comes with autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control as standard. It is backed by a 5-year/999,999km warranty. It offers 365 litres of boot space and is priced from $193,100.

Picks up matrix LED headlights, panoramic roof and a power-folding third row that used to be Platinum-only. Ignite Orange grille, 20-inch black-and-orange alloys. Production from May, customer deliveries July to September 2026. 5-star ANCAP retained.

Hyundai opens the cheaper Elexio in Australia from $58,990 before on-roads, $57,990 driveaway between 1 and 30 June 2026 at participating dealers. Same 160kW/310Nm front motor and 88.1kWh LFP battery as the Elite, but the smaller 18-inch wheels stretch WLTP range to 562km, up 16km on the flagship.
