The Leapmotor B05 Style is the entry version of Leapmotor's Golf-sized electric hatch, confirmed for Australia and due in dealers from late August 2026. It launches at $35,990 drive-away, a launch-offer price rather than an RRP. It runs a single rear motor making 160kW and 240Nm, with a 56.2kWh lithium iron phosphate battery good for 401km on the WLTP cycle. Standard kit is generous for the money, with a 14.6-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone mirroring, seven airbags and a full Level 2 driver-assist suite. It slots in below the C10 and B10 SUVs as Leapmotor's cheapest EV here, taking aim at the MG4 and BYD Dolphin.
Configure the StyleThe Leapmotor B05 Design LR is the long-range version of Leapmotor's Golf-sized electric hatch, confirmed for Australia and due in dealers from late August 2026. It launches at $38,990 drive-away, a launch-offer price rather than an RRP. It uses the same 160kW/240Nm rear motor as the Style but adds a larger 67.1kWh battery good for 482km on the WLTP cycle, plus a panoramic glass roof, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. A 14.6-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone mirroring, seven airbags and a full Level 2 driver-assist suite are standard. It takes aim at the MG4 Long Range and BYD Dolphin.
