The IM6 is IM Motors' electric SUV, a coupe-styled sibling to the IM5 sedan sold through MG's Australian dealers. The Premium opens the range at $60,990 drive-away with a 75kWh LFP battery, a 400V platform and up to 450km of WLTP range. Its single rear motor makes 217kW and 450Nm, and unusually for an electric SUV it's rated to tow 1,500kg braked. Even the base IM6 gets 20 speakers, a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, rear-wheel steering and the full IM AD driver-assist package. At under $91k it also qualifies for the EV FBT exemption.

The IM6 Platinum is the mid-grade of IM Motors' electric SUV at $69,990 drive-away. A 100kWh NCM battery on an 800V architecture gives up to 555km of WLTP range and 396kW DC charging, so roughly 30 to 80 per cent takes about 15 minutes. The single rear motor makes 300kW for a 5.4-second 0-100km/h. The Platinum steps up to 21-inch wheels, air suspension, active damping and rear-wheel steering, and keeps the 1,500kg braked towing rating. Sold through MG dealers, it's a lot of electric SUV for BYD Sealion 7 money.

The IM6 Performance tops IM Motors' electric SUV range at $80,990 drive-away. Twin motors make a combined 572kW and 802Nm for a 3.48-second 0-100km/h, seriously quick for a family-sized SUV. It runs the 100kWh NCM battery and 800V platform for up to 505km WLTP and 396kW DC charging, and adds air suspension, active damping and rear-wheel steering on 21-inch wheels. It still tows 1,500kg braked. Sold and serviced through MG dealers, it badly undercuts performance electric SUVs from the German brands.
