Key Takeaways

  • We now list 26 on-sale 2027 Ranger grades, priced from Ford's own Build & Price tool on 29 October 2026
  • $46,518 estimated drive-away for the XL 4x2 Single Cab-Chassis up to $97,279 for the Raptor, on Ford's postcode 3000 basis for a Personal buyer
  • Five grades carry campaign drive-away offers instead: Black Edition from $53,000 and the three Ranger Hybrids at $59,000, $66,000 and $70,000
  • Wolftrak and Tremor are not on Ford's 2027 price page and have no column in the 2027 brochure
  • ANCAP: five stars (2022) across the Ranger range, with the Raptor listed by ANCAP as unrated

Ford's 2027 model-year Ranger range is on Ford Australia's website, and we can now lay the whole lineup out with prices. There are 26 grades in our directory, from a work-ready XL Single Cab-Chassis to the Raptor, and the big change from the 2026.5 range is what is missing: Wolftrak and Tremor are gone.

One thing to know before you read a single number: Ford prints no recommended retail price for these grades. What its Build & Price tool shows is an estimated drive-away price, and that is the figure we have used and labelled throughout.

How to Read These Prices

We read the figures on Ford Australia's Build & Price tool on 29 October 2026, with postcode 3000 (Melbourne, Victoria) entered and Personal use selected. Ford's footnote says the estimated drive-away price covers 12 months of registration, 12 months of compulsory third party insurance, an estimated dealer delivery charge, stamp duty and other statutory charges. It assumes the car is garaged at that postcode and the owner is what Ford calls a "rating one" driver aged 40 with a good record.

Ford also says it is "not intended as a formal quotation or offer". Registration, insurance and stamp duty vary by state, so treat the figures below as a Victorian estimate, not a national price. Where a grade is marked (offer), Ford shows a campaign "Drive Away Offer" instead, and that is a different thing: a recommended driveaway price at participating dealers, for eligible customers only. We have not mixed the two up, and you shouldn't either when comparing grades.

2.0L Turbo Diesel, Rear-Wheel Drive (4x2)

The entry point to the Ranger range. The 2.0-litre turbo diesel makes 125kW and 405Nm through a 10-speed automatic, and Ford quotes 6.8L/100km combined and 3,500kg braked towing for these four grades.

2.0L Turbo Diesel, Four-Wheel Drive (4x4)

Same 125kW and 405Nm engine, now with part-time 4x4. The Wildtrak is available with the 2.0L as well as the V6.

3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel, Full-Time 4WD

The V6 diesel makes 184kW and 600Nm. The Platinum uses it, the XLT and Wildtrak offer it alongside the 2.0L, and it is also on the list for the XL, XLS and Black Edition.

The V6 premium is consistent on Ford's numbers. In the Double Cab Pick-up, it adds $6,678 over the 2.0L in the XL and the Wildtrak, and $6,672 in the XLT. Those are estimated drive-away differences, so they include stamp duty and will run a little larger than the gap in list prices.

Raptor

The Raptor is the one petrol in the range: a 3.0L V6 twin-turbo EcoBoost with 292kW and 583Nm. It tows 2,500kg braked where the other grades we have this figure for are rated at 3,500kg.

At $97,279 estimated, it is also the dearest Ranger on this list.

Ranger Hybrid (Plug-In Hybrid)

The plug-in hybrid pairs a 2.3-litre EcoBoost petrol with an electric motor for 207kW and 697Nm, and Ford quotes 3,500kg braked towing. Ford is advertising "Driveaway offers on 27MY Ranger Hybrid Models", and that is what these three figures are. They match the $59,000, $66,000 and $70,000 we reported for the 2026.5 Hybrid launch.

What the Offers Actually Say

Five grades show a "Drive Away Offer" instead of an estimate. For the Hybrids, Ford's footnote says the price is a recommended driveaway price at participating dealers, available to Private and Blue, Silver and Gold Business Fleet customers only. For the Black Edition, it adds Demonstrators customers and says the offer can't be combined with any other. Ford says it may vary either offer at any time, and neither shows an end date.

Two things to watch. The Black Edition footnote names the 2.0L Double Cab Pick-up; the $60,000 V6 figure carries the same offer tag, but Ford's page has no separate footnote for it. And an offer price at participating dealers is not directly comparable with an estimated drive-away for a Victorian address. The $53,000 Black Edition 2.0L sitting below the $56,925 XL 4x4 Double Cab Pick-up is a campaign against an estimate, not proof the Black Edition is the cheaper car.

Wolftrak and Tremor Are Gone

The 2026.5 Ranger range included Wolftrak and Tremor grades. Ford's 2027 price page, which we read on 29 October 2026, lists XL, XLS, Black Edition, XLT, Wildtrak, Platinum and Raptor, plus a Wildtrak X, and neither Wolftrak nor Tremor appears. The 2027 model-year specifications brochure has no column for either. A towing footnote in it still mentions both by name, but nothing prices or specifies them, so we read that as carried-over wording.

We've marked both as no longer on sale in our directory. Ford's page also shows a Wildtrak X that we haven't added yet, so it isn't in the tables above. If you want a Wolftrak or Tremor, ask a Ford dealer whether any 2026.5 stock is left rather than assuming it can be ordered.

Safety

ANCAP's Ranger record is five stars, rated in 2022 and in force until December 2028. ANCAP says "this ANCAP safety rating applies to all variants of the Ford Ranger, excluding Raptor, which is unrated", and it ran extra frontal offset and oblique pole tests to cover the plug-in hybrid. So 25 of the 26 grades here carry the five-star rating. The Raptor has no ANCAP rating, so we show it as unrated rather than assume it matches the rest.

What This Means for Buyers

If your budget is around $50,000, the 2.0L 4x2 range is where Ford wants you, and the double cab pick-up at $48,845 is roughly $2,300 above the single cab-chassis. If you need four-wheel drive, the 2.0L 4x4 starts at $55,215 on the single cab-chassis, with the Black Edition offer a campaign to ask about. The V6 premium is steady at about $6,700, so it comes down to whether you want the extra 59kW and 195Nm.

Whatever you pick, get a written drive-away quote from a dealer in your own state. Our tables are a map of the lineup, and Ford says plainly its estimates are not a quotation. Open any grade's directory page for its specifications, or put two grades side by side in our comparison tool.

Disclaimer: Prices are from Ford Australia's Build & Price tool, read on 29 October 2026 with postcode 3000 and a Personal buyer. Estimated drive-away prices are Ford's estimates for a Victorian address and are not a quotation; campaign offers are recommended driveaway prices at participating dealers, can be varied by Ford at any time, and are limited to the customer types Ford lists. Ford prints no recommended retail price for these grades. Specifications are from Ford Australia's 2027 model-year Ranger brochure. ANCAP details are from ANCAP's published record. We list 26 grades; Ford's page also shows a Wildtrak X that we have not added. Confirm price, specification and availability with a Ford dealer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is the 2027 Ford Ranger in Australia?
On Ford Australia's Build & Price tool, read on 29 October 2026 with postcode 3000 and a Personal buyer, the estimated drive-away price runs from $46,518 for the XL 4x2 Single Cab-Chassis to $97,279 for the Raptor. Ford prints no recommended retail price for these grades, so we don't state one. Two Black Edition grades and the three Ranger Hybrid grades show campaign drive-away offers instead of an estimate.
What does Ford's estimated drive-away price include?
Ford says it includes 12 months of registration, 12 months of compulsory third party insurance, an estimated dealer delivery charge, stamp duty and other statutory charges. It is based on a vehicle garaged at the postcode you enter and a driver Ford calls a 'rating one' driver aged 40 with a good record. Ford says it is not a formal quotation or offer, so ask a dealer for a confirmed price.
Are the Ranger Wolftrak and Tremor still on sale?
Not on the evidence we have. They were on Ford's 2026.5 model-year price page, but Ford's 2027 price page, read on 29 October 2026, lists neither, and the 2027 model-year specifications brochure has no column for either. We have marked both as no longer on sale. Check with a Ford dealer if you are after remaining stock.
What do the Ranger Hybrid grades cost for 2027?
Ford Australia is showing driveaway offers of $59,000 for the Hybrid XL, $66,000 for the Sport and $70,000 for the Wildtrak. They are recommended driveaway prices at participating dealers for Private and Blue, Silver and Gold Business Fleet customers, Ford has printed no end date, and it can vary the offers at any time.
What is the price difference between the 2.0L and the 3.0L V6 Ranger?
On Ford's estimated drive-away prices, the 3.0L V6 diesel costs $6,672 more than the 2.0L diesel in the XLT Double Cab Pick-up 4x4, and $6,678 more in both the XL and the Wildtrak. These are estimated drive-away figures, so stamp duty is baked in, and the gap in list prices will be smaller.
Does the 2027 Ford Ranger have a five-star ANCAP rating?
ANCAP's Ranger record is a five-star rating from 2022. ANCAP says the rating covers the Ranger range except the Raptor, which it lists as unrated, and that the plug-in hybrid was covered after additional tests. The Raptor has no ANCAP rating.
