The 2026 Porsche Cayenne is a premium mid-size SUV that suits buyers wanting engaging driving dynamics with luxury credentials and genuine practicality, offering a spacious 698-litre boot and 3500kg towing capacity. Its standout strength is the 3.0-litre petrol engine delivering 260kW and 500Nm through an 8-speed automatic with standard AWD, combining spirited performance with a respectable 10.4L/100km fuel consumption. One thing to consider is that at 2,055kg, it's a substantial vehicle requiring careful parking in tight Australian spaces, though its relatively modest running costs of around $1137 annually provide reassurance on affordability.
Configure the CayenneThe MY2024 Porsche Cayenne Coupé made 260kW and 500Nm from a 3.0-litre petrol engine, 0-100km/h in 5.7 seconds and weighed 2,085kg unladen on Porsche's DIN basis, per Porsche Australia's archived model page. Porsche Australia's newsroom listed it from $148,200 before on-road costs.
Configure the CoupéThe MY2021 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupé paired a 3.0-litre petrol engine with a 100kW electric motor for 340kW and 700Nm of combined system output, 0-100km/h in 5.1 seconds and weighed 2,360kg unladen on Porsche's DIN basis, per Porsche Australia's archived model page. Porsche Australia's newsroom listed it from $151,600 before on-road costs.

Porsche Australia's newsroom listed it from $161,600 before on-road costs.
Configure the E-Hybrid CoupéThe 2026 Porsche Cayenne S is a mid-size luxury SUV designed for buyers seeking performance and prestige, offering a potent 4.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine producing 349kW and 600Nm through an eight-speed automatic gearbox with standard all-wheel drive. Its standout strength is the balance of everyday practicality-with a 698-litre boot and 3500kg towing capacity-combined with genuine sporting credentials. The key consideration for Australian buyers is fuel consumption; at 12.2 litres per 100 kilometres, it's thirsty by modern SUV standards, which will impact long-term running costs significantly despite the relatively modest annual servicing estimate.
Configure the SThe MY2024 Porsche Cayenne S Coupé made 349kW and 600Nm from a 4.0-litre petrol engine, 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds and weighed 2,190kg unladen on Porsche's DIN basis, per Porsche Australia's archived model page. Porsche Australia's newsroom listed it from $190,000 before on-road costs.

Porsche Australia's newsroom listed it from $366,200 before on-road costs.
Configure the Turbo GTThe Cayenne Platinum Edition was a run-out trim Porsche Australia listed for barely two months in 2014, between May and July, on the outgoing pre-facelift 92A. Mechanically it is the entry Cayenne: the naturally aspirated 3.6-litre V6 with 220 kW at 6,300 rpm and 400 Nm at 3,000 rpm, 7.8 seconds to 100 km/h, 230 km/h, and 9.9 L/100 km with 236 g/km of CO2. Power steering Plus was fitted as standard. Porsche's page for the edition publishes no mass, width or fuel tank capacity, and we have not borrowed the standard Cayenne's figures to fill the gaps.
Configure the Platinum EditionThe 2010 Cayenne was the run-out year of the first-generation 957, and the entry car used Porsche's 3.6-litre V6 making 213 kW with a six-speed Tiptronic S automatic and permanent all-wheel drive. Porsche Australia quoted 8.5 seconds to 100 km/h and a 227 km/h top speed; the Green Vehicle Guide certified it at 12.9 L/100 km combined and 287 g/km of CO2 to Euro 4. At 4,798 mm long on a 2,855 mm wheelbase and 2,170 kg unladen, it is noticeably shorter and lighter than the 92A that replaced it in July 2010. No Australian recommended retail price survives for this year - Porsche had removed the price row from its Australian site in mid-2009.
Configure the CayenneThe Cayenne S was the V8 middle of the 957 range in its final Australian year. Porsche Australia's own specification page lists a 4,806 cm3 petrol V8 making 283 kW and 500 Nm, six-speed Tiptronic S, 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and 250 km/h. The Green Vehicle Guide certifies 13.7 L/100 km combined and 316 g/km to Euro 4 - though that certification record still carries a stale 4.5-litre engine label from the earlier 955 Cayenne, which the manufacturer page contradicts. Unladen mass is 2,245 kg against a 3,080 kg gross limit. No Australian price survives for this year.
Configure the SThe GTS was the sharpest-driving 957 Cayenne, and 2010 was its last Australian year before the 92A arrived mid-year. It runs a 4,806 cm3 V8 uprated to 298 kW at 6,500 rpm, sits 24 mm lower and 29 mm wider than a standard Cayenne, and with the six-speed Tiptronic S covers 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds on the way to 251 km/h. Australian certification is 13.9 L/100 km combined and 321 g/km to Euro 4. Unladen mass is 2,245 kg. Porsche Australia had stopped publishing prices by then, so no recommended retail price is recorded.
Configure the GTSThe MY2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid paired a 4.0-litre petrol engine with a 100kW electric motor for 500kW and 900Nm of combined system output, 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds and weighed 2,490kg unladen on Porsche's DIN basis, per Porsche Australia's archived model page.
Configure the Turbo S E-HybridThe MY2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupé paired a 4.0-litre petrol engine with a 100kW electric motor for 500kW and 900Nm of combined system output, 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds and weighed 2,535kg unladen on Porsche's DIN basis, per Porsche Australia's archived model page.
Configure the Turbo S E-Hybrid CoupéPorsche sold the 957 Cayenne GTS in Australia with a six-speed manual as well as the Tiptronic S, and the manual is the quicker of the two: 6.1 seconds to 100 km/h and 253 km/h, against 6.5 seconds and 251 km/h. It is also 20 kg lighter at 2,225 kg unladen. The trade is fuel - Australian certification puts it at 15.5 L/100 km combined and 371 g/km, roughly 1.6 L/100 km worse than the automatic. The engine is the same 4,806 cm3 V8 with 298 kW and 500 Nm. 2010 was the last year before the 92A replaced it.
Configure the GTS ManualThe 957 Cayenne Turbo closed out the first generation in Australia with 368 kW and 700 Nm from a forced-induction 4,806 cm3 V8, six-speed Tiptronic S and permanent all-wheel drive. Porsche Australia quoted 5.1 seconds to 100 km/h and 275 km/h. Australian certification is 14.9 L/100 km combined and 346 g/km to Euro 4, and at 2,355 kg unladen it is the heaviest 957 in the range. Its certification record still carries the earlier 955 Cayenne's 4.5-litre engine label, which the manufacturer page contradicts. No Australian price survives for this year.
Configure the TurboThe Turbo S was the top of the pre-facelift 92A range and the only Cayenne certified in Australia for 2014 alone. Its 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 makes 405 kW and 750 Nm, good for 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and 283 km/h, and it shares the GTS's wider 1,954 mm body. Australian certification matches the standard Turbo at 11.5 L/100 km and 270 g/km to Euro 5, though the two are separated by their stationary noise results. It weighs 2,215 kg unladen and Porsche quotes 670 litres of luggage space behind the rear seats.
Configure the Turbo SThe 958.1 Cayenne GTS used the naturally aspirated 4.8-litre V8 in a wider, lower-riding body, making 309kW/515Nm, per Porsche Australia's archived technical-data page.
Configure the GTSThe 958.1 Cayenne S used a naturally aspirated 4.8-litre V8 making 294kW/500Nm, reaching 100km/h in 5.9 seconds, per Porsche Australia's archived technical-data page.
Configure the SThe 958.1 Cayenne S Hybrid paired a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 with a 34kW electric motor for a 279kW system total, per Porsche Australia's archived technical-data page.
Configure the S HybridAn uprated MY13 Cayenne Diesel lifted the same 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 to 180kW while keeping mass and dimensions unchanged, per Porsche Australia's archived technical-data page.
Configure the DieselThe 958.1 Cayenne paired a 220kW/400Nm 3.6-litre V6 with an 8-speed automatic and Porsche's all-wheel drive, weighing 2,030kg DIN, per Porsche Australia's archived technical-data page.
Configure the CayenneThe 958.2 Cayenne Diesel raised power to 193kW/580Nm from the same 3.0-litre V6, cutting the 0-100km/h claim to 7.3 seconds, per Porsche Australia's archived technical-data page.
Configure the DieselThe 958.2 Cayenne GTS moved to the twin-turbo 3.6-litre V6 at 324kW/600Nm, cutting the 0-100km/h claim to 5.2 seconds, per Porsche Australia's archived technical-data page.
Configure the GTSThe 958.2 Cayenne Turbo lifted its twin-turbo 4.8-litre V8 to 382kW/750Nm, cutting the 0-100km/h claim to 4.5 seconds, per Porsche Australia's archived technical-data page.
Configure the TurboThe MY2019 Porsche Cayenne S made 324kW and 550Nm from a 2.9-litre petrol engine, 0-100km/h in 5.2 seconds and weighed 2,020kg unladen on Porsche's DIN basis, per Porsche Australia's archived model page (global template).
Configure the SThe Cayenne Diesel was the volume seller of the 92A range in Australia and the 2014 run-out car used the 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel at 180 kW with 550 Nm from 2,000 rpm, common-rail injection and a variable-geometry turbocharger. It reaches 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and 218 km/h, and the Australian certification is 7.4 L/100 km combined and 195 g/km to Euro 5 - notably, Porsche's own page quotes a slightly better 7.2 and 189, which the certification does not support. Unladen mass is 2,100 kg. This is the pre-facelift car; the 193 kW facelift diesel arrived later in 2014.
Configure the DieselThe S Diesel gave the 92A Cayenne a 4,134 cm3 V8 turbo-diesel with 281 kW and a huge 850 Nm from 2,000 rpm, enough for 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and 252 km/h while certifying at 8.3 L/100 km and 218 g/km to Euro 5. Porsche's marketing copy calls it a 4.2-litre, but its own specification table and the Australian certification both read 4.1. It is the one Cayenne of the era with an 85-litre fuel tank as standard rather than 100, with the larger tank listed as an option, and it weighs 2,195 kg unladen.
Configure the S DieselThe Cayenne S Hybrid was Porsche's parallel full hybrid, not a plug-in: a supercharged 2,995 cm3 petrol engine making 245 kW paired with a 34 kW electric machine for 279 kW and 580 Nm of system output from 1,000 rpm. It reaches 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and 242 km/h, and certifies at 8.2 L/100 km combined and 193 g/km to Euro 5 - better than the far slower petrol V6. At 2,240 kg it is one of the heavier 92A.1s. It is also the marker for the pre-facelift car: its Australian page disappeared in July 2014 and the plug-in S E-Hybrid replaced it that September.
Configure the S HybridThe entry Cayenne of the 92A's Australian run-out year used a naturally aspirated 3.6-litre V6 with direct injection, 220 kW and 400 Nm, driving all four wheels through an eight-speed Tiptronic S with auto start/stop and steering-wheel shift controls. Porsche Australia quoted 7.8 seconds to 100 km/h and 230 km/h. Australian certification is 9.9 L/100 km combined and 236 g/km to Euro 5, a big step on the 12.9 L/100 km of the 957 it replaced. It measures 4,846 mm long on a 2,895 mm wheelbase and weighs 2,030 kg unladen. Everything on this page is pre-facelift: the updated 92A.2 did not reach Porsche Australia's site until after July 2014.

Through the eight-speed Tiptronic S it reaches 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and tops out at 258 km/h. Australian certification is 10.5 L/100 km combined and 245 g/km to Euro 5, which is only 0.6 L/100 km worse than the V6 despite 74 kW more. It weighs 2,065 kg unladen. This is the pre-facelift car - the twin-turbo V6 S arrived with the 92A.2 later in 2014.
Configure the SThe Diesel Platinum Edition was the oil-burning half of Porsche Australia's brief 2014 Cayenne run-out pair, listed on the site from May 2014 on the outgoing pre-facelift 92A. It uses the 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel with variable turbine geometry at 180 kW, quoted at 7.8 seconds to 100 km/h and 218 km/h, with 7.2 L/100 km and 189 g/km on Porsche's own page. Because the edition carries no Australian certification record of its own, those are the manufacturer's figures rather than certified ones - the standard Cayenne Diesel certifies slightly higher at 7.4 and 195. Porsche's page for the edition publishes no mass, torque or fuel tank capacity.
