Ford has done what it did with the Wildtrak earlier this year and bolted a limited edition onto Australia's best-selling large SUV. The Everest Wolftrak sits between the Sport and the Platinum, borrows the Tremor's honeycomb grille, paints the roof and the 20-inch wheels black, and throws in the Premium Towing Pack that is an option further down the range. Ford's own Everest page prints it at from $73,000 drive-away with the 2.0-litre engine, and Ford says around 800 will be available here with deliveries from October.
It arrives with a quieter set of changes for the 2027 model year: a new blue for Sport and Tremor, a cloth-seat option on the entry Active, and a move to Ford's ActiveX synthetic upholstery on the two volume grades. Below is what the Wolftrak actually adds, what Ford's pages print for the MY27 range, and where the green-stitched car lands against the Tremor it looks like and the Platinum it undercuts.
What the Wolftrak adds
Ford's page lists the Wolftrak kit as: a distinctive honeycomb grille with Zest Green accents, black exterior accents with Zest Green Wolftrak decals, EVEREST lettering on the bonnet, a black roof with black stand-off roof rails, C-clamp LED headlamps with LED fog lamps, and 20-inch black alloys on all-season tyres. Inside, leather-accented seats with unique Wolftrak front seats, Traction Green contrast stitching and WOLFTRAK embroidery, Traction Green interior accents, seven seats, and a 10-way power driver's seat with memory and easy entry.
The part that matters to the people who buy an Everest to tow is the Premium Towing Pack as standard: an integrated trailer brake controller, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage and the trailer connection alarm. On a Sport that pack is an option. Both engines are rated to 3,500kg braked and 750kg unbraked, which has not changed.
Three colours: Traction Green, which is reserved for the Wolftrak, plus Command Grey and Absolute Black.
Two engines, one gearbox
The Wolftrak takes either Everest engine. The standard 2.0-litre bi-turbo four-cylinder diesel makes 125kW and 405Nm and drives through part-time 4x4; the optional 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel makes 184kW and 600Nm with full-time 4WD. Both use the 10-speed automatic and a locking rear differential. The V6 is the engine the Tremor and Platinum get as standard, which is how the V6 Wolftrak ends up on the same $79,990 before on-roads as the Tremor in Ford's launch pricing.
2027 Ford Everest pricing
Ford's Everest page prints drive-away offers for the three four-cylinder grades. The V6 grades are priced through Ford's Build and Price tool; the figures below for those are Ford's launch pricing before on-road costs. Our directory rows carry Ford's figures once they have been checked against Ford's own pages, so a row may still show the 2026 price for a day or two.
| 2027 Everest | Engine | Price | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Active | 2.0L bi-turbo | $60,000 | Drive-away offer, Ford's page |
| Active | 3.0L V6 | $66,990 | Before on-roads, launch pricing |
| Sport | 2.0L bi-turbo | $70,000 | Drive-away offer, Ford's page |
| Sport | 3.0L V6 | $76,990 | Before on-roads, launch pricing |
| Wolftrak | 2.0L bi-turbo | $73,000 | Drive-away offer, Ford's page |
| Wolftrak | 3.0L V6 | $79,990 | Before on-roads, launch pricing |
| Tremor | 3.0L V6 | $79,990 | Before on-roads, launch pricing |
| Platinum | 3.0L V6 | $83,417 | Before on-roads, launch pricing |
A drive-away figure and a before-on-roads figure are not the same measure, so do not read the $73,000 Wolftrak as $3,000 over the $70,000 Sport and leave it there: both are drive-away, so that gap is real, and $3,000 buys the towing pack, the wheels and the trim. Against the V6 cars the comparison needs on-roads added, which depends on your state. Ford's Tremor stays at $79,990 before on-roads, and a V6 Wolftrak matches it to the dollar, so that choice is purely Tremor's off-road suspension and all-terrain tyres against the Wolftrak's road-biased 20s and towing kit.
The rest of the MY27 changes
Desert Island Blue joins the Sport and Tremor colour charts. The entry Active gains a no-cost cloth-seat option on five-seat cars (Ford notes it is not available with the seven-seat option), and Active and Sport move to Ford's ActiveX synthetic upholstery. Platinum seats get revised detailing. The mechanical package is carried over: both engines, the 10-speed automatic, the 3,500kg tow rating, 800mm wading depth and the five-star ANCAP rating from 2022 that applies to the generation.
Ford's page also carries its seven-year warranty on every grade, conditional on servicing with Ford dealers, for Everests delivered from 1 September 2026. The standard warranty remains five years.
Who it is for
If you were already going to option the towing pack on a Sport, the Wolftrak is the cheaper way to get it, and the black-and-green look is the bonus rather than the point. If you want the off-road hardware, the Tremor is the same money in V6 form. If you want the full cabin, the Platinum is $3,427 more before on-roads. And if you want one at all, 800 is not many for a car that outsold every other large SUV here last year.
We have not driven the Wolftrak. The figures above are Ford Australia's, from its Everest pages and its launch pricing, and the directory rows link to Ford's own documents.
