Plenty of 2027 cars have already been talked about, but far fewer have actually been confirmed for Australia by the people who'll sell them. This list only counts the second kind. Every car below links to its maker's own Australian page or release, and every date is the one the maker printed. Where a maker has only said "2027", that's all we say too.
Right now we hold 131 rows marked coming soon. Of those, 68 are badged 2027, covering 45 models from 24 brands. 27 of the 68 are fully electric and 16 are plug-in hybrids, so the year leans electrified, though Nissan's new Patrol, with six grades, is petrol. Makers rarely print a month, so we've grouped cars by the quarter or half-year they give.
Early 2027 (January to March)
Nissan Patrol (new generation, Y63)

Image: Nissan Australia
The big one. The all-new Patrol is a large eight-seat four-wheel-drive SUV, and Nissan Australia has already published pricing and key specifications. Its words on timing: "Orders for the all-new Nissan Patrol are open now, with first customer deliveries expected in early 2027." Six grades are named: Ti ($98,990), Ti+ ($109,480), Ti-L ($122,690), Ti-L+ ($134,690), PRO-4X ($137,590) and Ti-L Reserve ($145,990), all before on-road costs, each with a 317kW petrol engine and four-wheel drive. It replaces the current Patrol, now in runout (Ti, Ti-L). Still unknown: Nissan says grade applicability is to be confirmed closer to launch.
Toyota RAV4 GXL PHEV 2WD
A mid-size SUV, and the fourth plug-in hybrid in the RAV4 range. Toyota Australia has confirmed it for the first quarter of 2027, as a GXL with front-wheel drive. Our row holds Toyota's 201kW system output and a 22.7kWh battery. It slots into the range beside the GXL Hybrid 2WD, giving buyers a plug-in at GXL level without paying for all-wheel drive. Still unknown: the price, which Toyota hasn't printed. More in our RAV4 GXL PHEV story.
First Half of 2027 (January to June)
Audi Q4 e-tron (revised)

Image: Audi Australia
A compact electric SUV in two bodies, SUV and Sportback. Audi Australia says "the revised Audi Q4 e-tron models are set to arrive in Australia in the first half of 2027", and it has printed prices. The rear-drive SUV and Sportback list at $71,650, with 150kW, a 63kWh battery (59kWh net) and 160kW DC charging. The SUV quattro ($81,650) and Sportback quattro ($83,250) get 250kW, 0 to 100km/h in 5.4 seconds, 82kWh (77kWh net) and 185kW DC. Prices are before on-roads, and the quattro can already be ordered. It replaces today's Q4 45 e-tron and 55 e-tron quattro. Still unknown: range per drivetrain, as Audi prints 494km and 509km without saying which is which.
Audi Q6 e-tron and SQ6 e-tron (MY27)

Image: Audi Australia
A mid-size electric SUV, again as an SUV or Sportback. Audi Australia has announced new equipment and pricing for the 2027 Q6 e-tron and SQ6 e-tron, describing the cars as "arriving in the first half of next year". Metallic paint, a panoramic sunroof and 20-inch Audi Sport wheels become standard. Our rows hold the Q6 e-tron SUV and Sportback at $89,900 with 185kW and rear drive, and the SQ6 SUV ($129,900) and SQ6 Sportback ($134,900) with 360kW and all-wheel drive, all list prices before on-roads. They follow the current Q6 e-tron and SQ6 e-tron. Still unknown: a month.
Geely Monjaro EM-i

Image: Geely Australia
A five-seat plug-in hybrid SUV. Geely Auto Australia has confirmed three new-energy models for local launch in 2027 and lists the Monjaro EM-i as "arriving H1, 2027". Geely says it's built on its GEA EVO platform. The rest of Geely's current range is on our Geely page; we hold a single Monjaro EM-i row for now. Geely also calls these three "of the six Geely models set to launch in Australia in 2027", so expect more names. Still unknown: grades, outputs, electric range and price.
Geely Emgrand L EM-i
A five-seat plug-in hybrid sedan, listed in the same Geely release with the Emgrand L EM-i "arriving H1 2027". Geely says it takes the brand into the sedan segment with a plug-in hybrid system similar to the Monjaro's. It sits beside the Monjaro in Geely's new plug-in range rather than replacing anything we list. See our Emgrand row. No photo: the only frame we hold for it is a Chinese-market car. Still unknown: grades, outputs, range and price.
Mid-2027
Toyota C-HR BEV

Image: Toyota Australia
A small electric SUV. Toyota Australia has confirmed the all-electric C-HR for a mid-2027 arrival. Our row holds 165kW and a 74.7kWh battery from Toyota's release. It doesn't replace the hybrid C-HR, which stays on sale in GXL, Koba and GR Sport form; the electric car sits beside it. Still unknown: grades and price. There's more in our C-HR BEV story.
Second Half of 2027 (July to December)
Geely Battleship 700
An off-road SUV, and the third car in Geely's 2027 announcement: "the Battleship 700 off-road SUV [is] planned for the second half of the year." Our row carries it as a five-seat plug-in hybrid. Geely says that by the end of 2027 its range will span a small car, a mid-size SUV, a mid-size sedan and an off-road SUV, so this is the one that fills the off-road slot; there's nothing in Geely's Australian range today that it replaces. No photo yet: we don't hold an Australian image of it. Still unknown: outputs, electric range, towing and price.
Confirmed for 2027, Date to Come
These makers have put 2027 in writing for Australia, but no month or quarter.
Toyota GR Corolla GRMN
The car at the top of this page: a two-seat hot hatch. Toyota Australia says the GR Corolla GRMN will be "on sale in Australia in 2027", in limited numbers. Its 1.6-litre turbo three-cylinder makes 221kW and 408Nm, it drives all four wheels, the rear seats are gone, and Toyota says it's 40kg lighter than the manual GR Corolla. It sits above the GR Corolla GTS manual and GTS auto, which stay on sale. Still unknown: the price (Toyota says it comes "closer to its arrival"), how many are coming, and the transmission.
Lexus TZ

Image: Lexus Australia
A large three-row electric SUV. Lexus Australia confirmed the TZ for Australia in 2027 when it showed the car at the Melbourne Cup Carnival. No grades are named for Australia yet. In our catalogue it sits above the RZ 500e as the bigger three-row electric Lexus, and there's nothing it directly replaces. Our TZ row is identity-only. Still unknown: Australian grades, outputs, range, price and a month. More in our Lexus TZ story.
Lexus NX (upgraded)
A mid-size luxury SUV. Lexus Australia says the upgraded NX launches here in 2027 with hybrid and plug-in hybrid power only. That means the current turbo-petrol NX 350 F Sport has no place in the new range. Today's hybrid NX 350h and plug-in NX 450h+ are the cars the upgrade follows. Lexus hasn't given a month or a quarter. Still unknown: grades, outputs, prices and the month.
Nissan Navara Pro PHEV

Image: Nissan Australia
A plug-in hybrid ute. Nissan says "the all-new Navara Pro Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) will join the local line-up in 2027", with Australia and New Zealand set to be the first right-hand-drive markets to offer it, and its Australian site's menu lists it as "Coming in 2027". It joins the current Navara rather than replacing it; today's range runs from the SL and ST to the PRO-4X. See our Navara Pro PHEV row. Still unknown: grades, outputs, electric range and price.
Hyundai Tucson (new generation, NX5)
A mid-size SUV, in its next generation. Hyundai's Australian register-your-interest page says "Coming soon in 2027". We hold a hybrid placeholder and an XRT row, both hybrid. It will replace the current Tucson, which we list from the petrol and Hybrid to the Elite N Line Hybrid. Still unknown: the full grade list, outputs, prices, and whether petrol-only grades carry over.
Ford Bronco Basecamp
A mid-size SUV. Ford Australia's site lists the Bronco Basecamp as "Arriving 2027" in both its SUV menu and its electrified menu, so it's coming as an electrified model. It sits beside the Everest in Ford's SUV line-up rather than replacing it. Our row is identity-only, and we've left the photo out because the only one we hold is a Chinese-market car. Still unknown: the exact powertrain, outputs, range, grades and price.
BMW iX3 M60 xDrive and iX4 M60 xDrive
Two performance electric SUVs, one upright and one coupe-styled. BMW Australia says both are "available to order in 2027" (iX4 M60 page). The pages print 450kW, 0 to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds, and 754km (iX3) or 777km (iX4) of range, but BMW footnotes all of them as "provisional figures that have not yet been officially confirmed", so treat them as provisional. The iX3 M60 would top the iX3 range above the iX3 40 and 50 xDrive; the iX4 M60 tops the coming iX4. Still unknown: confirmed figures, price and a month.
BMW iX4 40 xDrive and 50 xDrive
A mid-size electric SUV with a sloping roof, new to BMW's Australian range. The iX4 page says "Available to order in 2027", and names two dual-motor grades, the 40 xDrive and 50 xDrive. It sits beside the iX3 as its coupe-styled sibling rather than replacing anything. Still unknown: the price and the month. Our iX4 story has more.
BMW X5 50e xDrive and iX5 60 xDrive
The next-generation X5 is a large SUV, and the X5 page splits its timing. "The BMW X5 50e xDrive will be available in 2027", and the electric iX5 60 xDrive is also listed for 2027, while the petrol and diesel X5 grades come earlier, from late 2026. The X5 50e replaces today's X5 xDrive50e; the iX5 is new, an electric X5 that sits beside the iX. Still unknown: outputs, electric range, prices and the month.
BMW 3 Series (G50) and i3 Sedan
A mid-size sedan in petrol and electric form. The 3 Series and i3 Sedan pages each carry the footnote "Expected availability: 2027". Named grades are the 320 and M350 xDrive (a mild hybrid), and the electric i3 40 xDrive and 50 xDrive. The new 3 Series replaces today's 330i and M340i xDrive; the electric i3 Sedan sits beside it. Still unknown: which grades the footnote covers, prices and outputs.
iCaur V25
A boxy SUV from a brand that's new here. iCaur Australia's site says "The iCAUR V25 arrives in Australia in 2027", and adds that 2027 "refers to expected first customer deliveries in Australia and is not a guarantee of a delivery date". It describes the car as "boxy, upright, and unmistakably iCAUR". Our row carries it as a plug-in hybrid. There's no current iCaur on sale for it to replace. Still unknown: outputs, grades, price and the month.
Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler (a maybe-2027)
A ute, and the softest entry here. Mahindra Australia's site carries the global release for the Scorpio Lifestyler, which says it "is set to make its international debut by April 2027" and names Australia among its target markets. That's a debut date, not an Australian on-sale date. Mahindra hasn't named an engine or grades. Our row is identity-only; it would sit beside Mahindra's current ute range on our Mahindra page. Still unknown: almost everything, including whether Australia gets it in 2027.
Badged 2027, no date we could read yet
We also hold 2027 coming-soon rows for these cars, but the maker's Australian page didn't print a date we could read when we checked. We'll move them up the page when it does: Polestar 7 (Polestar says only that it "is coming"), Polestar 4 update, Volvo XC60 and XC90 long-range plug-ins, Volvo XC40 and EX40 updates, electric Mercedes C-Class, electric GLA and new GLA, Jaguar Type 01, Chery E5 MY27, Kia PV7, MINI Countryman Untamed, JAC Hunter PHEV cab chassis, Ford Tourneo PHEV, Mitsubishi Pajero, Omoda 7, Zeekr 7GT, Geely M9, Freelander 8, Avatr 07L and Jetour's T1, T2 and G700.
New Brands for 2027
Our test for a confirmed launch is simple: either a named Australian distributor or a live Australian site from the brand itself. On that test, one new brand clears the bar for 2027.
Confirmed
- iCaur. Its Australian site is live and names the V25 for 2027. We hold rows for the V25 and V27; the V27 isn't on iCaur's Australian site. See the iCaur page.
Freelander, Jetour and Avatr also have rows with us, but we couldn't reach a working Australian site for any of them on 16 October, so we're not calling them confirmed here.
Reported, not confirmed by the maker
- HQ (FAW Hongqi). Reported, not confirmed by the maker. No working Hongqi Australia site and no distributor named on a maker page.
- Changan (the namesake brand). Reported, not confirmed by the maker. Its sister brand Deepal is already here.
- Wuling. Reported, not confirmed by the maker. GM Australia and New Zealand has said Wuling vehicles will not be imported or distributed by GM ANZ.
- Nevo (Changan). Reported, not confirmed by the maker.
- Lynk & Co, Kaiyi, BAIC, Riddara and Soueast. Reported, not confirmed by the maker. None had a working Australian site when we checked.
What Is Not Coming Yet
These have been talked about for Australia, but the maker hasn't confirmed them here. Some makers have said outright they're only under consideration. Treat them as maybes until that changes:
- Avatr 06T and T09
- XPeng GX
- KGM Rexton (new generation)
- Hyundai Santa Fe EREV
- Genesis hybrids (Genesis Australia says it can't confirm which Australian models)
- Volkswagen ID. Tiguan
- Nissan X-Trail (next generation)
- Mitsubishi Delica (next generation)
- GAC S7
- Foton Tunland PHEV
- Skoda Peaq and Octavia Hybrid
- Mercedes-Benz VLE (its Australian page says it is not yet available in Australia) and the electric Mercedes-AMG GT 53 4-Door
- Audi Q9 and A2 e-tron (under evaluation)
- Leapmotor B03 hatch
- smart #2
- Bentley Torcal
- Kia Sportage (next generation)
- Lexus LS (2027)
- Honda Civic Type R (2027 update)
- Geely's other unnamed 2027 models, extra Jetour models, and a Forthing people mover
What This Means for Buyers
If you're buying in the next few months, most of these won't be in showrooms in time, and only the Patrol, the Q4 e-tron and the MY27 Q6 e-tron have printed Australian prices so far. If one of them is on your list, compare it against what you can buy today on our compare page, and check back here: we update the list as makers print dates and prices.
Disclaimer: Timing, prices and specifications are as printed on each maker's Australian website or release, read on 16 and 17 October 2026, and can change. Counts are from the coming-soon rows in our directory on 17 October 2026. Brands and models described as reported have not been confirmed for Australia by the maker. Audi prices are manufacturer's list prices before on-road costs. Details correct as at 17 October 2026.
